SW 971 ETHICAL ISSUES IN SOCIAL WORK PRACTICE

3.0 graduate credits

This course has been designed to foster sensitivity to ethical concerns and to provide knowledge and experience in ethical decision-making. Students become familiar with the philosophical base of ethics, consider social work values and ethical dilemmas in practice at all levels, and develop expertise in using a decision-making model. The implications of such ethical practice are reviewed. Case materials reflect a variety of issues, levels of practice, and diversity of populations.
