BIOL 305 Fundamental Neuroscience

3.0 Undergraduate credits

This course will outline basic concepts in neuroscience including: neurons, glial cells, the action potential and mechanisms of neurotransmitter action. Nueroanatomy will be examined and specific functions of brain regions will be explored in terms of learning and memory, language, behavioral neurendocrinology and neurological and psychiatric disorders. Methods used by neuroscientists and neurologist will be discussed throughout the course. Science and Psychology Majors. Course was offered in:
