The broad categories of microorganisms and microscopic systems are covered: morphology, cultivation, reproductive features, microbial genetics, biochemical traits and taxonomy. Also an introduction to environmental, industrial and medical microbiology provided. Three hours lecture, two hours lab. Prerequisites: BIOL 150,150L, 151, 151L. Science majors.
