Presents the objectives of accounting and the principles that have evolved in response to the objectives, presentation and disclosure problems surrounding the general purpose financial statements, valuation and recording of working capital as well as non-current items, analysis and interpretation of accounting data and development of financial statements from incomplete records. Prerequisite: BUS 132 and MATH 110 or MATH 201.
