BUS 563 INFORMATION SYSTEMS - DATABASE MANAGEMENT

Detailed study of relational database, including the theory of relations and normalization. Conceptual and logical representation of database objects. Implementation using SQL-based ORACLE. Also discussed are the issues of hierarchical and network database design, distributed databases, security and database recovery.
