BUS 564 ACCOUNTING INFORMATION SYSTEMS

The course examines concepts related to the functions, components and operation of modern accounting systems. Topics covered include: the utilization of computer technology to implement and support accounting information systems; the needs and responsibilities of accountants as end users of systems, systems designers, and systems auditors; transaction cycles; and internal control.
