CHEM 101 BASIC CHEMISTRY AND THE INTERNET: SOLUTIONS IN CYBERSPACE

This online course is an introduction to the basic concepts of chemistry that include a review of basic algebra, scientific notation, naming compounds, chemical reactions, modern atomic theory, and chemical bonding. This course is designed for students who may require a preparatory course prior to taking a college-level general chemistry course or for students who want to gain a basic understanding of chemistry. Students will be expected to contribute to online chat room discussions, post questions on the electronic bulletin board, and communicate with the instructor through e-mail.
