CSD 265 SPEECH AND LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT

3.0 undergraduate credits

Study of the phonologic, syntactic, semantic and pragmatic aspects of normal communication, speech and language development in children ranging in age from birth through adolescence. Various theories of language acquisition will be discussed. Emphasis on individualist models of language development and the social-communicative bases of the language-learning process. Prerequisites: CSD 164,166
