CSD 505 AUGMENTATIVE AND ALTERNATIVE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

2.0 Graduate credits

Explores basic aspects of augmentative and alternative modes of communication. Emphasis is placed on the cognitive, psycho-social, educational, physical and communicative-linguistic factors of individuals across the life span with little or no functional speech. Assessment, treatment, and management issues are considered. Prerequisite: Language Disorders in Children or permission of Program Director.
