EDUC 411A EFFECTIVE INSTRUCTION IN SECONDARY AND K-12 EDUCATION

3.0 Undergraduate credits

Emphasizes developing a repertoire of teaching strategies recognizing individual and group differences; building humanistic management skills; establishing evaluative procedures; using appropriate instructional media; analyzing professional responsibilities. Provides an overview of secondary reading programs, with emphasis on content areas and development and remedial techniques. Coordinated with junior field experience. (See also departmental listings for complementary specific methods.) Prerequisite: upper level screening approval and EDUC 311.
