SW 320 SOCIAL WORK RESEARCH I

3.0 Undergraduate credits

Introduces the student to the arena of research. The student will learn the connection between collecting and examining data as well as theory and hypothesis formation. Qualitative methodologies of field research, sampling, interviewing, case studies and single-sub­ ject design will be emphasized, using appropriate computer pro­ grams. Qualitative data methodology will give students opportuni­ ties to proceed from the specific to the general and learn how to begin creating a study for examination. Prerequisites: SW 145,240,250.
