Registration Instructions for
Spring 2010

Undergraduate Students:

Pick up your registration packet at the Student Service Window located next to the Registrar's Office, LAC room 90. Check the identifying student information printed on the registration form. If the address or phone information is not correct, please provide updated information to the Registrar's Office.

If you have a computer printout called "Curriculum Guide" check the data on it. If there appears to be an error, contact Academic Records to verify your information.

Make an appointment with your advisor who will help you arrange a "first choice" schedule, along with alternate courses in case any problems arise. The Schedule of Classes information is available online. If you choose to register online your advisor must release you each semester. If you choose to hand your form in at Academic Records your advisor must sign the registration form.

Double check the designations for course reference number (CRN), department, catalog number, section and title. You will need to enter the course reference number (CRN) and section when you use the Web Registration. If you bring your registration form to the Student Service Window to be processed, all information must be recorded accurately and the form must be signed by your advisor.

See the Dean of your College, if you need to, regarding permission for registering for more than 18 credits. If you web register you will need to take your form to Academic Records to register for any courses that take you beyond the 18 credit maximum.

Your random number for registration is highlighted on your registration form. Check the Timetable located on the Registrar's website for when you should register with your class and random number.

Any outstanding financial obligations must be met before your registration can be processed. If there are any questins regarding your financial status, you should contact the Cashier's Office at (570) 348-6212 prior to your registration date.

Students who have not been formally admitted to a Baccalaureate program have to contact the Registrar's Office at (570) 348-6280.

Sign the form, and if it is on or after November 23, 2009 take the form to the Cashier's Office, LAC 87 for financial clearance.

Process your registration using WEB REGISTRATION or bring it to the Student Service Window, LAC 90.

If your 'first choice' is closed, you may choose another section of the same course or use one of your alternates.

The free add/drop period is from November 16 to November 20 ; after that date, schedule changes are $10.00 (WEB changes are free of charge).

Graduate Students:

Graduate students who have been formally admitted to pursue a graduate degree, Marywood certificate, or certification program should make an appointment with their advisor to make their "first choice" schedule, along with alternate courses in case any problems arise. The Schedule of Classes information is available online. If you choose to register online your advisor must release you each semester. If you choose to hand your form in at Academic Records your advisor must sign the registration form. All other students should contact Meghan Cruciani, Associate Director of Retention Management for assistance at (570) 340-6043.

Problems: If you are registering by WEB and by-pass any of the steps above, it will take time to process your registration. In the meantime, other students are filling up classes ahead of you. Studenst who do not use the Web Registration System are responsible for presenting their registration forms, add-drop forms, withdrawal forms, etc., to the Registrar's Office by specified dates. The date a form is received is the official date of the transaction.
